"Easily the most inspiring experience for me has been my time spent in London, England. Working for Julien MacDonald and studying design there opened my eyes to what the British understand fashion to be: an artform for endless experimentation and self expression."
Sidney Holloway
Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Sidney studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design before attending Ryerson University. Experience at Toronto Fashion Week in first year, lead to an exciting work placement with well-known Canadian designer, Paul Hardy. In 2006, Sidney won a place on the Ryerson exchange program and the next year, attended the University of Westminster, learning a British approach to design research and presentation. While in London he also completed a work placement with world famous designer, Julien MacDonald.
After completing his degree, Sidney plans to gain experience, working in the Canadian fur industry, one day representing it abroad. He dreams of pushing design and technical innovation while promoting the use of Canada’s most historical and luxurious resource.
